Shachar Melman

Shachar Melman has a diverse range of work experience in the real estate industry. Shachar is currently working at Waypoint Residential as a Senior Vice President of Business Operations, where they focus on acquiring, developing, and operating multifamily properties. Prior to joining Waypoint Residential, Shachar held the position of Senior Vice President of Real Estate at ROX Financial Inc. from 2019 to 2022. Before that, they were the VP of Acquisitions at Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp. from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, Shachar has worked as the VP of Acquisitions at PBC USA. IDB Group from 2015 to 2017 and as a Senior Associate in Acquisitions and Asset Management at BCRE – Brack Capital Real Estate from 2012 to 2015. Shachar holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Prior to their career in real estate, Shachar served as an Israeli Naval officer, holding the rank of Captain from 2004 to 2011.

Shachar Melman began their education in 2004 at the University of Haifa, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and Political Science. Shachar completed their undergraduate studies in 2007. In the same year, Shachar also enrolled in the Israeli Naval Academy, although no degree or field of study is specified for this period. Later, from 2011 to 2013, they attended the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, earning an MBA with a focus on Finance and Accounting.
