Michael Haworth has a diverse work experience, starting in 2006 as a Manager and Head Bartender at Atlantic Trap and Gill, where they honed their skills in customer service. Michael then transitioned to the role of Program Supervisor at the Inner City Children's Program, where they managed after-school and summer programs for low-income families. In 2011, they became the Human Resources Manager at CleanGen Inc., where they established and implemented HR policies and oversaw employee relations. In 2015, Haworth joined NAIT and held various positions, including Recruitment Specialist, HR Consultant, and Organizational Development Lead. Michael later became the Chief of Staff and Director of Strategy, responsible for the institution's overall strategic framework and government relations. Finally, in 2024, they took on the role of Director of Engagement & Development at WCB-Alberta, leading teams in organizational development, corporate learning, and employee engagement.

Michael Haworth has a Master's of Human Resources Management (MHRM) degree in Organizational Development from the University of Regina. Michael also holds a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Secondary Social Studies Teacher Education from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History from MacEwan University.
