Amber Dawning is currently a Graduate Student at Morehouse School of Medicine, pursuing a Master of Science in Biomedical Research, expected to graduate in December 2023. Amber provides peer tutoring services as a GEBS Peer Tutor through the Office of Student Learning and Educational Resource (OSLER) and has experience as a Graduate Biochemistry Lab Teaching Assistant and Student IT Tech Assistant. Amber also serves as a Clinical Research Coordinator at WCG and a Research Assistant at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Previously, Amber was selected as one of nine fellows nationally for the Beacon of Hope Initiative at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, where work focused on RNA biology drug discovery. Additional experience includes a role as Research Biologist I at Aegis Sciences Corporation, Front Desk Associate at Spelman College Wellness Center, and participation in a global health study abroad program in Trinidad and Tobago. Amber obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Spelman College and completed high school at Merrillville High School.
