Gary Schroder has over 30 years of work experience in the field of engineering and electronics. gary started their career as a Bench Technician at Lytle Electronics, where they maintained and repaired radios for various contracts. gary then joined Store Cable, later known as Times Warner Cable, as a Chief Electronics Technician, responsible for maintenance and installation of major Headends and Microwave links. Since 1987, Gary has been working at WDRB Fox 41 as the Chief Engineer, overseeing the operation and maintenance of five stations and three full-power HD Comark transmitters.

Gary Schroder completed their high school education at New Albany High School in New Albany, Indiana from 1973 to 1976. While in high school, they studied a range of subjects including Math, Science, and History. After completing high school, Gary went on to attend Ivy Tech Community College from 1976 to 1978. During their time at Ivy Tech, they pursued a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, ultimately earning an Associate's degree in that field.
