Tommy Shiou

Tommy Shiou has a diverse work experience in the tech industry. Tommy started their career as a Software Engineering Intern at Garmin International in 2012. After that, they joined Turn as a Software Engineer, specializing in Distributed Systems, in July 2013. Tommy was promoted to the position of Senior Software Engineer in January 2015 and held that role until July 2017.

In July 2017, Tommy moved to Wealthfront, where they served as a Staff Data Engineer until January 2019. Tommy was then promoted to the role of Data Engineering Manager and held that position until February 2021. Currently, they are working as the Director of Engineering, Infrastructure at Wealthfront, starting from February 2021.

Throughout their career, Tommy has gained expertise in software engineering, distributed systems, and data engineering.

Tommy Shiou attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
