Matthew McAndrew attended Charles W. Woodward High School, graduating in 1979. Matthew then pursued higher education at the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 1982 to 1986, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management and Economics.
In terms of certifications, Matthew McAndrew obtained several additional credentials. In August 2014, they became a certified Salesforce.com Certified Administrator.
