Gerard Cahalan

Gerard Cahalan is an experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in product design, development, and management. Currently serving as Director of Engineering and R&D at PDI since December 2020, Gerard previously held the position of Senior Principal Packaging & Device Engineer. As the Owner and Operator of Cahalan Design LLC from 2002 to November 2022, Gerard specialized in engineering design and consulting, focusing on product design, automated manufacturing equipment, and tooling. Additional roles include Head of Operations at Medinstill Development LLC, Project Manager and Sr. Project Engineer at Talalay Global, and Project Engineer at Sealed Air Corporation. Gerard holds a Master of Science in Management (Management of Technology) from RPI Lally School of Management and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin.
