Jeff Busby

Jeff Busby has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Jeff is currently serving as the Vice President, New Energy at Weatherford since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the University of Houston as an Advisor starting in 2019.

Before joining Weatherford and the University of Houston, Jeff held several leadership roles at ABB starting in 2008. These roles include Vice President, US Sales, Process Automation, Energy Industries where they merged three sales organizations, developed go-to-market strategies, and managed overall sales deployment. Jeff also served as the Business Manager, Electrification, leading a team that provided turnkey substations and power management systems for various markets. Additionally, they worked as an EPC Account Manager, Account Manager, Sales Engineer, and Strategic Marketer, contributing to business development and customer relationships.

Jeff began their career at Boeing in 2007 as a Facilities Engineer and Special Projects Coop, where they performed various functions and led a team to improve facility maintenance processes. Jeff also worked as a Supply Chain Management Finance Operations Intern at Boeing.

In 2006, Jeff had an internship as a Quality Engineer at Ingersoll Rand.

Jeff Busby completed an Emerging Leaders Program in Business Administration, Management, and Operations at The Wharton School from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Sales, Distribution, and Marketing Operations from the University of Houston between 2013 and 2015. Jeff also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, which they earned from 2003 to 2008.
