Andrew Engel

Andrew Engel has a diverse work experience in the field of data science. Andrew is currently the Head of Data Science Solutions at weav.ai. Previously, they worked as an Advisor for Rehinged.ai, where they provided guidance on data science strategy. Andrew also worked as a Data Science Consultant at Engel Analytics, where they developed a C implementation of feature extraction functions and designed a data pipeline for machine learning.

Andrew served as the Chief Data Scientist at Rasgo, where they owned the analytics strategy and worked on product, marketing, and sales strategies. Before that, they worked at DataRobot as the General Manager for Sports and Gaming, leading industry vertical strategy, and as the Director of Customer Facing Data Science, engaging with customers in various sectors.

Earlier in their career, Andrew worked as a Data Scientist at HP, leading data science projects for targeted marketing campaigns. Andrew was the Director of Analytics at Stics, leading modeling efforts for casinos, and the Senior Manager of Web Research at Websense, managing a team and developing analytical models. Andrew also worked as an Industrial Engineer at SPAWAR Systems Center, supporting cloud computing and analytics projects. Lastly, Andrew was a Senior Staff Scientist at SAS Institute, building fraud detection models for banking systems.

Andrew Engel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Physics from Hamline University in 1996. Andrew then pursued a Master's degree in Physics at the University of Arizona from 1996 to 2000. Following that, they went on to complete a Ph.D. in Systems and Industrial Engineering at the University of Arizona from 1996 to 2002.
