Paul Smith

Paul Smith has extensive experience in the housing sector, currently serving as Board Chair at Weaver Vale Housing Trust Limited since October 2019. As Chair of the North West Board Member Steering Group for the National Housing Federation since January 2016, Paul facilitates a support network for Board Members and advocates on significant issues affecting Housing Associations. Previous roles include Managing Director at Cloud Coaching Consultancy from October 2012 to June 2021, and Chair of the Board at Prima Group from October 2013 to September 2019, overseeing operations for approximately 3,000 homes in Merseyside. Additionally, Paul held the position of Executive Director Group Operations at Arena Housing Group from April 1989 to September 2012, managing services for over 15,000 residents with a substantial annual turnover. Paul’s career began at Liverpool City Council as Housing Manager, leading housing management activities for a challenging outer area estate from January 1985 until April 1989. Paul attended Hillfoot Hey High School from 1966 to 1973.
