Jonathan Artz M.D. has had a long and varied career in the medical field. In 1999, they began as an Instructor in Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. In 2010, they became an Alumni Admissions Representative at Union College. In 2016, they joined the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Network of the Bay Area (BINBA). In 2018, they became the Executive Editor of The Neurotransmitter, a digital newsletter for the Clinical Neurosciences, and the Director of Neurological Education for The Permanente Medical Group. In 2021, they became a Staff Neurologist and Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, and the Director of the Neurology Medical Student Clerkship. Jonathan is also the Lead for Renown Health's Cognitive and Brain Health Program and the Founder of WEAVR. Jonathan has also served as the Physician Lead (Co Chair) for the Kaiser Permanente 2020 National Stroke Conference, Medical Director of Stroke Services and Cognitive Disorders Program, Physician- Staff Neurologist and Encephalographer, Physician Lead for the Kaiser Permanente National Stroke Conference in April 2019, and Telemedicine Team Member (Stroke Express Program) for Kaiser Permanente Northern California.

Jonathan Artz M.D. began their education in 1985 at Union College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biological and Biomedical Sciences. In 1989, they earned their Doctor of Medicine from Emory University School of Medicine. Following their graduation, they completed a Neurology Residency Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine from 1994 to 1997, followed by a Clinical Neurophysiology Residency Program at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1997-1998. Jonathan then completed a Clinical Neurophysiology Residency Program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine from 1998 to 1999. In 2021, they obtained a Certificate in Corporate Innovation- Strategic Analytic Thinking and The Creation of Value from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications from the CITI Program, Group 2 .Biomedical Research Investigators and Key Personnel in July 2021 and Good Clinical Practice Course (US FDA focus) in August 2021.
