David Main

David Main has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. David is currently working as a Senior Protocol Developer at Web3Auth starting from 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Tari Labs as an Application Engineer from June 2019 to December 2021. During their time at Tari Labs, they contributed to the development of applications for the open-source Tari blockchain protocol and successfully implemented various functionalities using Rust and C++. David also worked at Dariel as a Developer for a brief period in April and May 2019, where they provided input on the hiring process and reviewed their Microsoft Dynamics system.

Before joining Tari Labs, David worked at Ctrl-Shift as a Software Engineer from February 2013 to March 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the countrywide document management system for Redefine Properties. David performed multiple roles, including business analyst, support specialist, system integrator, account manager, client liaison, and technical lead. Through their efforts, they expanded the system's reach to multiple business areas, making it highly reliable and efficient.

David's career began in 2010 when they worked as a Web & Software Developer at Nordev Media. In this role, they developed and maintained various websites, web systems, and desktop applications. Notably, they developed an internal web application for a chemical company, which facilitated product catalog management and bill of materials assembly.

David Main obtained their Matriculation degree from Hoerskool Drie Riviere, where they studied from 2006 to 2009. David then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Computing from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, graduating in 2016. Additionally, they obtained several certifications including Angular 7, 5G, 4G-LTE, 3G, 2G Cellular Mobile Communications, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified - 4 Certifications!, .NET Core Microservices, Build a Blockchain and a Cryptocurrency from Scratch, The Practical BPMN 2.0 Masterclass, IBM Blockchain Essentials, and IBM Blockchain Foundation Developer. These certifications were acquired between 2018 and 2019 from institutions such as Udemy and IBM.
