Jennifer Wasley has a strong background in media strategy and communications. Jennifer began their career as an Insurance Salesperson at Coastal Community Credit Union Insurance in 2001 before moving on to work as an Account Assistant at Wilcox Group in 2002. At Wilcox Group, they gained experience in media monitoring, client support, and database management. In 2003, Jennifer joined Porter Novelli Canada as a Manager, where they worked on high-value plans for clients such as P&G Beauty and Monster.ca. Jennifer's most recent position is with Weber Shandwick, where they have been working since 2011 as the Vice President of Integrated Media. In this role, they have led media strategy for various sectors and managed a range of responsibilities including budget development, social media strategy, client relations, and media relations.
Jennifer Wasley pursued their education in a range of institutions and fields. From 1995 to 2000, they attended Vancouver Island University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Liberal Studies. In 2002, Jennifer briefly attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology to study Public Relations. Jennifer also enrolled at the University of Victoria in the same year, focusing on French. In 2019, Jennifer obtained a certification as a Change Management Practitioner from APMG International.
