Jim O'Connell

Jim O'Connell has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. In 2022, they joined Weber Shandwick as a Vice President, Health Media. Prior to that, from 2020 to 2022, they worked at La Rabida Children's Hospital as the Director of Communications and Media Relations. In 2019, they served as a Chief Storyteller, Communications, Public Relations, and Marketing Consultant. From 2018 to 2019, they held the position of System Director, Communications and Media Relations at AMITA Health. Jim also gained experience at Presence Health, where they worked as a Regional Director of Marketing & Communications from 2016 to 2018 and as a Regional Communications Director from 2015 to 2016. Before that, they worked at Pebble Creek Partners as a Communications Consultant / Director of Marketing & Communications from 2012 to 2015. Jim also worked at Veolia Environmental Services North America Corp as a Marketing & Communication Manager/Specialist from 2010 to 2012. In the earlier years of their career, they had roles such as Executive Producer at Salem Communications from 2008 to 2010, Show Host and News Anchor at WCRX-FM from 2007 to 2009, and Imaging and Production at WKSC-FM in 2007.

Jim O'Connell attended Columbia College Chicago from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Management. Earlier, from 1999 to 2001, they attended Western Michigan University, though they did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study.
