Salam Al Aqel has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Salam started their career as a Senior Editor at Aljarida Newspaper in 2006 and later moved on to work as a Senior Editor at Assawt Newspaper from 2007 to 2009. From 2001 to 2014, Salam worked as a Freelance writer, editor, and proofreader, collaborating with various Media Services and Advertising Companies.

In 2012, Salam joined Memac Ogilvy, Kuwait, as a Sr. Copywriter, where they actively contributed to creating, editing, and translating subjects in both English and Arabic. Salam also played a role in planning and executing successful advertising campaigns. Salam's tenure at Memac Ogilvy lasted until 2015.

Following their time at Memac Ogilvy, Salam Al Aqel joined the National Bank of Kuwait as a Sr. Media Officer, where they utilized their skills in media management and communication. Salam remained with the bank until 2017.

In 2017, Salam joined Memac Ogilvy again, this time as a Sr. Creative Arabic copywriter & PR assistant. Salam took on the responsibility of writing creative Arabic copy and assisting with PR activities. Salam's time at Memac Ogilvy continued until February 2023.

Currently, Salam Al Aqel serves as a Content Manager at Weber Shandwick, starting their role in February 2023.

From 1998 to 2001, Salam Al Aqel attended Al Baa'th University and obtained a three-year degree in English literature.
