Reese Ramirez came to Webster University in August of 2021.
Prior to coming to Webster, Reese spent two years as a Graduate Assistant at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville where she served as an athletic trainer for Campus Recreation Club Sports. She also served as an intermit athletic trainer for the baseball team while assisting with injury evaluations for the women’s basketball team, the men’s and women’s soccer teams, the softball team, the women’s tennis team, and the wrestling team. In addition, she provided coverage for SIUE baseball, women’s basketball, soccer, and volleyball camps as well as the Metro-East Lutheran High School Turkey Tip-Off Boy’s Basketball Tournament.
During her time at SIUE, Reese also was the social media coordinator for Campus Recreation and Club Sports. She assisted with planning and executing Campus Recreation special events and assisted with implementing COVID-19 procedures and protocols for Campus Recreation and the Student Fitness Center.
Before starting as a graduate assistant, Reese spent time as a Certified Athletic Trainer for Minnesota Hockey Camps and as an Athletic Training Student at Minot State University. She was also a Clinical Assistant at ATI Physical Therapy in Tucson, Arizona.
She holds a NATA Board Certification and is certified by the American Red Cross in CPR and AED. She also holds an ATC License in Missouri and Illinois. She is currently a member of the National Athletic Training Association, the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association, the Illinois Athletic Trainers Association, and the Mid-American Athletic Trainers Association.
The Tucson, Arizona, native earned her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training and her Bachelors of Science in Corporate Fitness/Wellness Management from Minot State (N.D.) University in 2019. She earned her Masters of Kinesiology in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville in 2021.
