Ashwin Roongta, CFA, FRM has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ashwin is currently the Head of Business Platforms at Wedbush Securities, a position they have held since November 2021. Prior to this, Ashwin worked at Bank of America as a Senior Vice President from December 2008 to October 2021. Before joining Bank of America, they were a Sr. Principal at Infosys Technologies Ltd from July 2000 to December 2008. Ashwin began their career at HSBC in April 1996 as a Relationship Manager, where they served as a relationship manager for global custody banks and local asset managers, with responsibilities for treasury, payments, and custody relationships. Ashwin started their career in the treasury and remittances back office at HSBC.

Ashwin Roongta, CFA, FRM earned their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi. Ashwin then went on to obtain their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from XLRI Jamshedpur. Ashwin also attended The Cathedral and John Connon School for their secondary education.

In addition to their formal education, Ashwin Roongta has obtained several certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge. Ashwin is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, having completed the program offered by the CFA Institute. Ashwin is also a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) through the GARP FRM Program. Ashwin holds a Certified Cash Manager (CCM) certification from the Association for Financial Professionals.

Ashwin has pursued various professional certifications outside of the finance field as well. Ashwin has completed the Securities Industry Institute program offered by The Wharton School and obtained the SAFe 4 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. Ashwin also holds a certification in Data Science and Big Data Analytics - Making Data Driven Decisions from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Most recently, Ashwin earned the Sustainability & Climate Risk certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
