Philip Zavala

Philip Zavala is currently the Director of Operations Control at WeDriveU. Prior to this, they worked as an EMT for American Medical Response from December 2015 to January 2019. Before that, they were the Crew Scheduling Operations Control Center Lead for Virgin America from February 2012 to March 2018. In this role, they managed and maintained monthly schedules for all Virgin America Flight Crew Operations, delivered training and proficiency checks to new hires, oversaw a group of schedulers, and coordinated with the airline's directors to address crew staffing needs. Philip has also worked on continuous process improvement ideas with department leadership. Philip is skilled in analyzing complex issues and clearly communicating messages to teammates.

Philip Zavala studied Justice Studies at San Jose State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Philip also has an Associate of Science in Fire Science/Fire-fighting from Mission College, and an Associate of Arts from City College of San Francisco.
