Addison Chen

Addison Chen has been in the workforce since 2013. In that time, they have worked at UBS Wealth Management, Tradesy, and WeeCare. At UBS Wealth Management, Chen served as a Registered Client Service Associate, where they analyzed client estate planning needs and illustrated custom proposals with the use of PowerPoint, Excel, Number Cruncher, and Adobe applications. Addison also evaluated "inforce" and proposed insurance illustrations to assist financial advisors and certified public accountants. As an Intern at UBS Wealth Management, Chen serviced "inforce" life insurance policies by communicating with carriers for annual statements, forms, and other administrative requests. Addison also conducted daily support duties such as creating electronic records of policies & proposals, updating databases, and managing files/paperwork. At Tradesy, Chen was a Web Developer and implemented features for the Buying team such as save-for-later, google ads, and ‘invite friends’ referral program. Addison also refactored systems to improve quality and performance by adding caching layers, moving logic from platform specific MVCs to repository & service layers. Finally, at WeeCare, Chen was a Lead Software Engineer and published core frontend features of the weecare.co web application. Features included listing editor, search/catalog pages, child care match maker, landing pages, and custom blog.

Addison Chen attended the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations. In 2014, they obtained both their Series 66 and Series 7 certifications from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). In 2015, they attended General Assembly for Web Development Immersive.
