Axel Tifft has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Axel started their career as an SAT Teacher at Kaplan Test Prep in 2007 and later became a Writing Fellow at Brown University. In 2010, they joined Teach For China as a Teaching Fellow, where they worked until 2012. After that, they worked as a Research Analyst and later as a Corporate Strategy Analyst at CEB from 2012 to 2015.
In 2015, Axel took a break from their professional career to embark on a solo cross-country bicycling journey. Upon their return, they joined Fin as an Operations Agent, eventually becoming an Operations Specialist and Operations Manager between 2015 and 2018. During their time at Fin, they played a crucial role in increasing the operational capacity and implementing new hiring and training strategies.
In 2019, Axel joined Trim as an Operations Manager but was soon recruited by a former colleague to join Flexport. At Flexport, they held various management positions, including Operations Enablement Manager, Manager, Business Enablement, and Senior Manager, Business Enablement. Axel spearheaded change management initiatives and led a team responsible for driving operational excellence and training across the organization.
In 2022, Axel took on a new challenge as the Director of Strategy at Tunelark. There, they worked on strategic planning initiatives until early 2023 when they joined Weekend Health as the Head of Pharmaceutical Operations.
Axel Tifft completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations and Affairs from Brown University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Axel also obtained various certifications, including "Become a Chief of Staff" from LinkedIn, "CTPAT" from Flexport, "HR as a Business Partner" from LinkedIn, "Human Resources Foundations" from LinkedIn, "Systems Ecology" from Udemy, and "EPOL 472 Instructional and Training Systems Design" from Coursera. Axel also obtained a TOEFL certification in 2011, although the institution is not specified.
