Kyle Goyette

Software Engineer at Weights & Biases

Kyle Goyette has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2011 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the McGill Combustion Laboratory. In this role, they designed a non-invasive temperature measurement apparatus for flames in small channels, optimized the apparatus and procedure to remove 95% of data scatter, and created reacting computational fluid dynamic simulations using OpenFOAM CFD software.

In 2012, Goyette began working at ThermoCeramix as a Project Manager and Research and Development Engineer. As Project Manager, they established and implemented a lean project management system, improved project throughput, and provided guidance to business development. As a Research and Development Engineer, they planned and constructed automated test systems, worked in the design and validation process, and designed and fabricated prototypes.

In 2016, Goyette moved on to Index Exchange as a Software Engineer.

From 2017 to 2020, Goyette was a MSc Student at the Montréal Institute of Learning Algorithms and a Software Engineer and Deep Learning Intern at Weights & Biases.

Kyle Goyette obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University between 2007 and 2012. In 2016, they obtained a Machine Learning certification from Coursera Course Certificates. Finally, they completed a Master's degree in Machine Learning/Deep Learning from Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute between 2017 and 2020.
