Ray C. Schrock

Ray C. Schrock is a distinguished legal professional currently serving as Co-Chair of the Restructuring Department and a member of the Global Management Committee at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP since September 2014. With significant expertise in managing complex corporate restructurings, Ray has represented a diverse range of clients, including debtors, creditors, private equity funds, and lenders in both in-court and out-of-court scenarios. Prior experience includes a partnership at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where Ray was the lead restructuring partner for Essar Steel Algoma, and a role at Jones Day representing numerous companies and creditors in major restructuring matters. Early legal experience includes clerking for the Honorable Clarence Brimmer in the United States District Court and serving as an enlisted and commissioned officer in the United States Army. Ray holds a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Western Michigan University.
