Charissa Abbott

Charissa Abbott is an experienced HR professional currently serving as the HR Leader at WeldFit since July 2019, where responsibilities include assisting senior management in managing the HR function and aligning corporate initiatives with organizational goals. Additionally, Charissa has worked as a Special Projects Assistant to the President at Gulf Coast Environmental Health & Safety since September 2015, providing HR and administrative support as needed. Previously, Charissa was a Special Education Paraprofessional at Mayde Creek High School, assisting special needs students, and held various HR roles at Oxane Materials from 2005 to 2015, progressing from Technician to Senior Manager. Charissa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a Minor in Biology from the University of North Texas and completed a SHRM-CP Certification Prep-Course at Rice University's Glasscock School of Continuing Studies in 2016.
