 About our Intern

Our ideal candidate is someone who is able to create low voltage circuits and systems , with an aptitude for creating, editing, and deciphering code. Someone who enjoys working with electronics and who can accomplish tasks with minimal-to-no supervision. If you are a self-motivated worker with a strong desire to create new products, this is the right position for you!

Responsibilities

  • Learn about GDS product line

  • Perform PLC programming

  • Create/Update/modify BT app

  • Create digital collateral highlighting product features and visuals

These are some of the more frequent tasks you could expect to perform during your workday, but you may be called upon to fulfill other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in a bachelor's electrical engineering program from an ABET accredited university (current Senior)

  • Working knowledge of embedded firmware code design

  • Able to program low voltage electronic devices, chips, etc.

  • Knowledge of C, C++, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, STM32CubeIDE, Microsoft Visual Studio, and C# is a plus

  • PCB design and testing

  • Availability to work at least 20-25 hours per week

  • Must be able to travel to League City during the school year

GDS Corp is a subsidiary of Welker, Inc. This role will work out of the GDS office in League City, TX. This is a part-time, in-office position working Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm, and Friday 7am-12pm. There may be an occasional need to travel to the Welker office located in Sugar Land, TX.
