About Our Solutions Group Engineer

Our ideal candidate is someone with an investigative mind and great attention to detail. We are looking for someone to monitor and update engineering work orders via our ERP system and Microsoft applications to provide real-time solutions to supply chain issues or customer inquiries. If you have a passion for research, problem solving, and analyzing data, this is the position for you!

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer specifications and develop solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards
  • Maintain workflow for engineering change notices including changes to routers, bills of material, and drawings
  • Evaluate engineering work orders to ensure the correct drawings and revisions are referenced; partner with Operations for any adjustments needed
  • Perform design and safety calculations; acquire new product certifications
  • Support all company departments by providing engineering solutions while maintaining ongoing solutions projects

  • Technical Aptitude: Familiar with SolidWorks drafting software and Microsoft Office applications; able to quickly adapt to new programs, including the Welker ERP system and Solutions Ticketing system to handle the clerical aspects of the position
  • Work Ethic: Excellent organizational and follow-through skills with a highly developed sense of urgency and prioritization; ability to handle multiple complex tasks within tight deadline parameters
  • Attention to Detail: Make a conscious effort to focus on details and ensure work orders and drawings are complete, accurate, and thorough

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university required; mechanical engineering preferred
  • Two or more years of experience in mechanical engineering is a plus
  • Solid general knowledge of details, methods, and layouts used in drafting component/parts drawings and engineering graphic representations relevant to a manufacturing environment
