Adam Flanagan has a diverse work experience which spans over several industries. Adam began their career as an Assistant Community Director at Point Park University in 2008, where they created and supervised a living-and-learning community for first-year students. Adam then worked as a Milieu Therapist at Western Psychiatric Clinic from 2008 to 2010. Following this, Adam worked as an English as a Second Language Teacher at the Busan Office of Education, where they collaborated with Korean co-teachers to establish an active learning environment for over 1,000 students. From 2013 to 2015, they served as a Cultural Literacy Teacher Associate at City High School, co-teaching world history and English to 11th grade students. Adam then transitioned to Pittsburgh Public Schools, where they worked as a 6-12th Grade English and History Teacher from 2015 to 2017. Most recently, Adam worked as a Digital Health Coach and Technology Manager at Wellbridge Health, where they monitored members' biometrics, provided education through video chats, and conducted mental health assessments.

Adam Flanagan obtained their Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Point Park University, where they studied from 2006 to 2009. Adam then pursued higher education at the University of Pittsburgh, where they earned a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Social Studies and English Education from 2012 to 2013.
