Cory Brown

Cory Brown, D.O., M.B.A. has a range of experience in the medical field. Starting in 2002, Cory worked as an Attending Physician in Urgent Care and Family Practice at Tri County Emergency Medical. From 2004 to 2006, they served as an Attending Physician in Family Practice at Gulf Coast Physician Partners, providing inpatient, outpatient, and nursing home care. In 2006, Cory joined Baptist Hospitals and Health Systems as an Attending Physician in Primary and Urgent Care. From 2008 to 2014, they worked as an Attending Physician and Partner at Portage Family Practice Clinic. In 2011, Cory became the Co-Medical Director at Rose Lane Health Center and also took on the role of Director of Medical Education at Affinity Medical Center, LLC. Cory held multiple leadership positions at Affinity, including being a member of the Medical Executive Committee and Chairman of the Medical Education Committee. In 2014, Cory joined Summa Health as the Medical Director of Urgent Care. In 2016, they became the Physician and Medical Director of Immediate Care at Canton Aultman Emergency Physicians Inc. From 2018 to 2022, Cory worked as a Family Medicine Physician at Mercy Medical Center, where they also served as the Medical Director for the Primary Care Advanced Practice Internship and Proctorship Program. Currently, Cory holds the position of Community Medical Director and Senior Community Medical Director in Ohio at WellBe Senior Medical, starting in 2022.

Cory Brown, D.O., M.B.A. earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Gannon University in 1995. Cory then pursued their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Ohio University, which they completed in 1999. In 2020-2021, Cory attended Youngstown State University and obtained a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Health/Health Care Administration/Management. Additionally, they have various certifications in areas such as strategic planning, leadership, and financial analysis. Cory is also board-certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and holds a medical license from the State Medical Board of Ohio.
