Ruben Kalra, MD, MBA has extensive work experience in a variety of roles. In 2021, they were appointed as an Official to the Diversity Inclusion Task Force for the City of Tiburon. From 2015 to present, they have been an Expert Physician for Grand Rounds Health and a Cofounder, Chief Medical Officer, and Chairman of the Board for WellBrain. From 2008 to present, they have been the Partner and President of Pain Medicine Consultants. From 2010 to 2015, they were the Chairman of the Pain Management Team for John Muir Walnut Creek and Concord Hospitals. From 2004 to 2010, they were a Pain Management Fellow and Resident in the Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital. In 2002, they were an Associate for the Joint Commission. In 2001, they were a Research Associate Specialty Pharmaceuticals for Credit Suisse First Boston. In 1999, they cofounded EZCampus.com. In 2000, they were a Summer Associate for Fischer Healthcare Partners.
Ruben Kalra, MD,MBA has a diverse educational background. Ruben completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1997. Ruben then went on to obtain a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in 2002. In 2001, they earned an MBA from the London Business School and an MBA from the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business in 2002. Ruben also completed an Anesthesiology Residency Program at Harvard Medical School in 2008. Ruben has also been certified by the American Medical Association as a Medical Doctor.
