Nicki Carter

Nicki Carter is a seasoned IT security professional with extensive experience in information security and risk management. Currently serving as the Head of IT Security at Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute since November 2014, Nicki has previously held positions such as Information Security Manager at Rakuten's Play.com from March 2009 to October 2014, and Information Risk Consultant at IT Governance from June 2008 to March 2009. Nicki's expertise includes PCI DSS and ISO27001 compliance, further demonstrated during the tenure as an Information Security Consultant at 7Safe, where Nicki acted as a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) for PCI DSS assessments. Earlier experience includes serving as an Information Security advisor at HMG from 2002 to 2006.
