Ujjwal Banerjee is a highly experienced researcher in the field of cellular and molecular biology, currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Wellcome Sanger Institute since August 2021, where research focuses on CRISPR screening in primary tissue culture models. In addition, Ujjwal holds a position as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Trinity Hall. Previously, Ujjwal was a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, recognized as a Pioneer Research Fellow, where innovative research on cancer was conducted. Earlier roles include Postdoctoral Researcher at IGBMC, where cell lines were generated for genome studies, and earlier work at the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics and Paris-Sud University involved research on DNA damage repair and neurogenesis, respectively. Ujjwal received a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Strasbourg following a Master's degree from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
