Barbara Vacca

Barbara Vacca is currently a Funding Manager at Wellcome Trust. Prior to this, they worked at King's College London, University College London, and Université d'Aix-Marseille.

Barbara Vacca received their PhD from Université d'Aix-Marseille in 2012, where they studied under the supervision of Dr. Xavier Montet. Her dissertation was entitled "The role of autophagy in the pathogenesis of Huntington's disease."

Before their PhD studies, Barbara Vacca completed a Master's degree at Institut Jacques Monod/CNRS & University Paris Diderot. Her Master's thesis was entitled "Characterization of the interaction between Beclin 1 and Bcl-2 proteins in mammalian cells."

Barbara Vacca has a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology, Physiology, and Pathology from Université Paris Cité.
