Elena Netsi

Senior Research Manager, Mental Health Translation at Wellcome Trust

Elena Netsi is a Senior Research Manager at the Wellcome Trust, where they have developed and managed a psychosis portfolio, analysed research landscapes to identify future investments, provided subject matter expertise and drove strategic decisions, and managed review and decision-making processes for commercial and non-commercial investments.

Previously, Elena was an ESRC Global Challenges Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Oxford, where their research focused on maternal depression and early child development in the context of socioeconomic inequalities in South Africa and Brazil.

Elena has also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford, where their research focused on treatment of persistent postnatal depression and preventing impact on child development. Elena was responsible for the delivery and conduct of a randomized controlled trial and coordinated and produced reports including financial forecast, recruitment and data reports for trial steering and data monitoring committees.

Elena Netsi studied psychology at the University of Bath, before completing a Master of Science in Psychiatry at the University of Oxford. Elena is currently completing a DPhil in Psychiatry at the University of Oxford.
