Gearóid Maguire

Gearóid Maguire is the Practice Manager at Wellcome Trust. Gearóid has a long history with Wellcome Trust, having worked there as a Grants Officer and Vice-Chair of the BAME staff network. Gearóid is customer service oriented and provides advice related to grant systems functionality, grant schemes and business processes to both internal and external stakeholders. Gearóid also assists with the development of grant system changes through logging instances of bugs and helping with the diagnosis. Gearóid was also responsible for line managing our Grants Operations apprentice for an 18 month term while they completed their Level 3 in Business Administration.

Gearóid Maguire has a diploma in management from the University of London, a masters in pharmacognosy from the School of Pharmacy at the University of London, and a B.Sc. in plant biotechnology from University College Cork.

Gearóid Maguire reports to Diego Baptista, Head, Research & Funding Equity. They are on a team with Sophie Demellweek - Senior Practice Officer, Teresa Cisneros - Senior Practice Manager, and Lilian Hunt - EDIS Lead.
