Gurneet Dhanoa

Gurneet Dhanoa is an experienced professional currently serving as a Funding Manager at Wellcome Trust since April 2023. Prior to this role, Gurneet worked at the University of Warwick's School of Life Sciences from January 2016 to March 2023, holding various positions including Lab Demonstrator, Student Ambassador, and Student Representative for the Student Staff Liaison Committee. Gurneet also completed a Summer Research Internship focused on synthetic biology in the Asally lab, where the project involved engineering a TEV protease for an Electro-Genetic Synthetic Biology System. Earlier work experience includes serving as a Clerical Assistant at Manor Park Medical Centre from July 2016 to August 2018 and as a Pharmacy Assistant at Superdrug from May 2014 to May 2015. Gurneet holds a PhD from the University of Warwick (October 2018 - March 2023) and a BSc in Medical Microbiology and Virology (1st Class) from the same institution (2015 - 2018). Education was completed at Beaconsfield High School (2008 - 2015).
