Jagmeet Sra

Jagmeet Sra has dedicated their career to public policy, both in their native Canada and internationally. Jagmeet currently serves as the Global Government Relations Lead at the Wellcome Trust, one of the world's leading biomedical research charities.

Sra began their career as an intern with the Democratic National Committee in 2016. Jagmeet then returned to their home country to work as a research assistant at Ryerson University before taking on a series of roles with the Canadian government.

Most recently, Sra served as Policy Advisor to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance from January 2020 to January 2021. In this role, they were responsible for providing advice and support on a range of policy issues, including economic development, trade, and taxation.

Sra is a graduate of Ryerson University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics.

Jagmeet Sra studied political science and government, as well as history, at Ryerson University. Jagmeet then completed their Ontario Secondary School Diploma at Martingrove Collegiate Institute. Finally, they earned their MSc from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
