Olivia Allen

Olivia Allen is an experienced strategy and policy professional, currently serving as Strategy Manager at Wellcome Trust since November 2018, with a secondment at Wellcome Sanger Institute until October 2024. Olivia has held multiple roles in global policy and advocacy, including Senior Policy & Advocacy Officer and Policy Officer at Wellcome Sanger Institute since October 2023, as well as Head of Strategy during a twelve-month secondment at Asthma UK. Earlier positions include Policy Officer at Nesta and an internship at Planet Earth Institute, where involvement in the #ScienceAfrica UnConference included project development and partner engagement. Olivia holds an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and has completed MSc and BSc degrees in Science and Technology Policy and Neuroscience, respectively, from the University of Sussex.
