Orit Shaer

Orit Shaer is a seasoned academic in the field of computer science, currently serving as the Department Chair and Professor at Wellesley College since July 2008. In addition to these roles, Orit Shaer directs the Media Arts and Sciences Program and the Wellesley College Human-Computer Interaction Lab. Prior experience includes positions as an Assistant Professor at Wellesley College, a Visiting Professor at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, and various research roles at Tufts University, University College London, and the University of Washington. Orit Shaer holds a PhD and an MSc in Computer Science from Tufts University and a BA in Computer Science from The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo. Early career experience includes engineering roles at Orbotech.
