David Azevedo

David Azevedo is a Senior Software Engineer at Gympass since October 2022, specializing in backend development using technologies such as Go, Kafka, Apache Flink, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Java/Kotlin. Prior to Gympass, David worked at Talkdesk from September 2019 to October 2022, serving as a Tech Lead for high-throughput reactive programming Kotlin applications and participating in an on-call program. David's career includes progressive roles at Talkdesk, including Software Engineer III and II, focusing on automation orchestration and integrations with various CRM APIs. Earlier experiences also include a Research Assistant position at Fraunhofer Portugal, developing deep learning methods for cardiovascular risk detection, and a Graduate Researcher role at INESC Technology and Science, working on an Android offline search engine. David holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Ghent University and a Master's Integrated degree in Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto.
