John Lovelady is EVP at WellMed. Prior to this, they were the Regional CEO at UnitedHealthcare Community & State. John has been in the healthcare industry for over 20 years and has played a vital role in the growth and success of both WellMed and UnitedHealthcare.

Under John’s leadership, UnitedHealthcare Community & State grew by $2 billion within 4 years. Their experience and expertise in the Medicaid/MLTSS/CHIP/DSNP markets have made him a valuable asset to both WellMed and UnitedHealthcare.

John is committed to providing quality healthcare to all patients and is an advocate for expanding access to care in underserved communities. Their passion for improving the healthcare system makes him a valuable leader in the industry.

John Lovelady has a Master of Science in Health Care Delivery Science from Dartmouth College, a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Texas State University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Tech University.

John Lovelady reports to Bryan Grundhoefer, President, WellMed Medical Management. They work with Bruce Moyer - Chief Operating Officer, Sheri Howell - Vice President, Medical Clinic Operations, and Ramon Figueroa - Chief Medical Informatics Officer, Quality Risk Adjustment.
