Elizabeth Samson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the healthcare industry. Elizabeth started their career as a Teacher's Assistant at Lewiston Public Schools in 2004. Elizabeth then worked as an Undergraduate Psychology Intern at the Children's Advocacy Center of Androscoggin, Franklin & Oxford Counties before joining Brigham and Women's Hospital as a Research Assistant.

In 2010, Elizabeth became a Substance Use Disorder Counselor at Fuller Hospital and then worked as a Correctional Mental Health Professional at MHM Services, Inc. from 2011 to 2015. Elizabeth was later promoted to Assistant Mental Health Director Correctional Healthcare at the same company.

Elizabeth joined Centurion Health in 2016 as a Continuous Quality Improvement Specialist, where they conducted quality evaluations and audits and implemented strategies for optimization. Elizabeth also worked as an Emergency Department Crisis Clinician at Steward Health Care during this time.

In 2018, Elizabeth joined Wellpath as a Continuous Quality Improvement Manager - Regional, overseeing and coordinating quality improvement initiatives across multiple facilities. Elizabeth was later promoted to the role of Senior Manager Clinical Operations - Corporate, where they introduced process enhancements and managed budgets.

Currently, Elizabeth serves as the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Director at Wellpath, leading initiatives focused on quality and patient safety in diverse healthcare settings. Elizabeth provides strategic guidance, manages various aspects of strategic planning and risk management, and ensures the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and principles.

Elizabeth Samson holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Forensic Psychology from William James College. Elizabeth also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Bates College. In addition to their formal education, Elizabeth has obtained various certifications including Six Sigma Yellow Belt (SSYB) from The Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC) in 2021, Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality® (CPHQ) from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) in December 2021, Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) from the National Commission on Correctional Health Care in February 2017, Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in December 2014, and certifications in Clinical Telemental Health, Clinical Trauma, and Compassion Fatigue from Evergreen Certifications.
