Alok Kumar Vishwakarma

Alok Kumar Vishwakarma has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Alok Kumar currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Wellthy Therapeutics, where they lead a team of over 15 highly skilled engineers in the development of a compliance heavy SaMD platform and feature-rich mobile applications for patients.

Prior to their current role, Alok served as the Chief Architect at Extramarks Education India Pvt. Ltd., where they maintained and upgraded customer-facing retail products and negotiated with partners and vendors for technical solutions. Alok Kumar also played a key role in capacity estimation and resource procurement.

Before that, Alok held the role of LAMP Architect at HolidayIQ.com, where they implemented efficient engineering processes, designed backend systems, and researched and implemented new technologies for improved application performance.

Alok Kumar also worked as a LAMP Architect at RockeTalk, where they developed a WAP site for mobile browsers and ensured the scalability and stability of the backend design.

Alok's earlier experience includes working as a Tech Lead at ibibo Web Pvt. Ltd., a DB Architect at Ed Ventures E-Learning Pvt LTD, and transitioning from a Software Engineer to a Project Manager at Infoedge India Limited. During their time at Infoedge, they managed a team of 25 engineers and contributed to the growth of major verticals such as naukri.com, jeevansathi.com, and 99acres.com.

Alok Kumar Vishwakarma has a diverse educational background in the fields of data science, business analytics, software systems, and computer science and engineering. In 2020, Alok completed a Post Graduate Program in Data Science and Business Analytics from The University of Texas at Austin. In 2010, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Prior to that, in 2002, Alok graduated with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Technology. Additionally, Alok has obtained certifications in IoT Foundations: Standards and Ecosystems, COVID19 - Awareness and Management, and Learning Program Management from LinkedIn and Medvarsity Online Ltd in 2020.
