Alan Sutton has a diverse work experience spanning from 1992 to the present. Alan then moved on to work as a Project Manager at Monarch Media, Inc. from 1999 to 2001, managing e-learning production and supporting multimedia projects. In 2001, they joined Hewlett Packard/Agilent Technologies Inc. as an E-Business Developer, where they managed their SharePoint intranet, developed solutions, and created technical documentation. From 2001 to 2002, they worked as a Localization Engineer at Global Software Solutions Inc. Alan'smost recent role has been as a Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead at Welocalize, where they specialize in full-stack software engineering and automation solutions for software localization. In this role, they also serve as an engineering lead and mentor for various aspects of production and workflow.

Alan Sutton attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Math and Economics. In 1997, they also briefly attended UC San Diego, focusing on Levantine Archaeology Laboratory. Additionally, in the same year, they conducted field study in Archaeology at the University of Chicago.
