People Success Operations Lead - Greece at Welocalize

Despoina Papadopoulou has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Despoina is currently working as the People Success Operations Lead - Greece at Welocalize since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at NLG - Next Level Globalization for nearly a decade, holding positions such as HR Manager, Key Account Manager, and Account Manager. In their role as an Account Manager, they were responsible for client services, satisfaction, and project management. Despoina has also worked as a Freelancer, serving as a Translator/Linguistic Advisor, and briefly worked at Hogarth Worldwide as a Transcreation Project Manager. Despoina started their career as a French Language Tutor at DE LA SALLE, Greek-French School and also gained administrative experience at the Region of Central Macedonia as an Administrative Employee, managing visa applications. Throughout their career, Despoina has achieved high levels of client satisfaction, implemented process improvements, and optimized project workflows.

Despoina Papadopoulou obtained their Executive MBA from the University of Macedonia from 2021 to 2023. Despoina also achieved a Level 5 Diploma in Learning and Development from CIPD Qualifications in 2020-2021. In 2017-2018, they received a Certificate of Specialization in HR Management and Organizational Analysis from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon. Prior to that, Despoina obtained an MA in Translation Studies from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) from 2008 to 2010 and a BA in French Language and Literature from the same university from 1999 to 2004. Despoina also had a brief stint at Université Marc Bloch (Strasbourg II) in 2003, where they pursued a BA in Langues Étrangères Appliquées (LEA). Additionally, Despoina has acquired several certifications including HR Metrics from Athens University of Economics and Business in 2020 and various online courses in leadership, entrepreneurship, marketing, and translation technology.
