Abraham Lagat

Abraham Lagat has a diverse and extensive work experience in logistics, procurement, and security. Abraham'smost recent position is as the Head of Logistics, Procurement & Security at Welthungerhilfe (WHH), which they started in April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Country Roving Logistics Coordinator and later as a Country Logistics Coordinator/Acting General Coordinator at Médecins du Monde from September 2019 to February 2022. Abraham also served as a Procurement & Logistics Specialist at International Medical Corps from August 2018 to June 2019, and as a Country Logistic Coordinator/Security Focal at Première Urgence Internationale from January 2017 to July 2018. Abraham has previous experience with International Medical Corps as well, holding positions such as Logistic Coordinator (Head of Logistics), Logistics Manager/Acting Field Coordinator, and Logistics Manager from 2012 to 2017. Other roles include Emergency Logistics Officer at Oxfam in 2011, Logistics & Procurement Officer at Danish Refugee Council from 2009 to 2010, Logistics & Operation Assistant at Pathfinder International, USAID APHIA II from 2008 to 2010, and Logistics Assistant at Oxfam from 2005 to 2007.

Abraham Lagat pursued their education goals in a chronological order. Abraham began by earning a Diploma in Logistics Management from East Africa University in 2007-2008. Later, they enrolled at Moi University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Management with a specialization in Purchasing and Supplies Management from 2011 to 2013. In 2013-2014, they attended Westford University College and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain & Logistics Management. Subsequently, from 2016 to 2018, they pursued an MBA in Business Administration with a focus on Supply Chain Management from Jaipur National University. Most recently, in 2022-2023, Abraham Lagat pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Operations and Project Management at Catholic University of Murcia UCAM in Spain.
