Mati Jones

Jones is responsible for leading the human resources function at Wesley Housing, including managing internal systems, policies and processes that support employees, while ensuring compliance with employment law and internal initiatives around diversity, equity, and inclusion - beginning at recruitment and hire and continuing through all stages of employment.

Jones joined Wesley with over 15 years of human resources (HR) experience from a range of sectors including healthcare, higher education, financial services and non-profits. She has worked with large, integrated HR teams supporting thousands of employees and mom and pop businesses of less than 10 people. Wherever she is, she enjoys the challenge of working with people and helping them to align their own skills and goals to the organization’s mission.

Past volunteer work has focused on developing others, especially children and women early in their career, through mentoring and tutoring programs such as Junior Achievement, Leaders of Tomorrow and WICT (Women In Cable Telecommunications).

Jones holds an undergraduate degree from Florida A & M University and earned an MBA from Emory University. She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management.
