Dr Karen Simpson Fciwem Cenv

Dr. Karen Simpson FCIWEM CEnv is a seasoned environmental scientist currently serving as Principal Environmental Scientist at Wessex Water since September 2022, focusing on managing the Hampshire Avon Resource Relocation investigation. Previously, Dr. Simpson held the role of Community Connector Manager and Doctoral Researcher at the University of the West of England, where research centered on water efficiency and behavior change. Experience also includes significant positions such as Water Efficiency Analyst and Project Manager at Thames Water, and Principal Engineer & Team Leader at MOUCHEL plc. Notable contributions encompass policy advising on water and climate change at the National Farmers Union and leading strategic business planning at the Environment Agency. Dr. Simpson holds a PhD in Geography from the University of the West of England and a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from Coventry University.
