Deepak S

Deepak S has a diverse work experience in the field of big data development. Deepak started their career at Retail Experts Software Pvt. LTD as a Jr. Java Hadoop Developer, where they worked on web application development and utilized Java, SQL, and JDBC to manipulate data from an Oracle database. Deepak then joined Neumeric Technologies Corporation as a Hadoop Developer, where they focused on gathering requirements, designing architecture, and documenting data flow for various projects. Deepak also implemented Dynamic Partitions and Buckets in HIVE. Deepak later moved to Sogeti USA LLC as a Hadoop Developer, where they identified KPIs, gathered requirements, and designed architecture for projects. Deepak optimized data processing using techniques such as Vectorization, SerDe's, and Partitioning in Hive. Deepak also configured big data workflows using Oozie and converted Hive/SQL queries into Spark transformations using Spark RDD. After that, they joined Neumeric Technologies Corporation again as a Hadoop Developer, where they continued to gather requirements and document data flow for projects. Deepak then joined WATI as a Big Data Developer and was responsible for installing and configuring a multi-node cluster using Hortonworks distribution. Deepak also developed Py-Hive queries in Python 3, utilizing libraries like PyHive and HDFS3 to connect to HDFS and Hive.

Deepak S completed their Master's degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Kent State University in 2015. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications. In January 2020, they became an AWS Certified Associate Developer. In May 2023, they achieved Academy Accreditation - Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals from Databricks, and also became a Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate from Microsoft.
