Gina Dahlia

Associate Dean Of Student Success And Enrollment at West Virginia University

Gina Dahlia has extensive experience in academia and media, currently serving as the Associate Dean of Student Success and Enrollment at West Virginia University since August 2001. In addition to this role, Gina holds positions as the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs at the WVU Reed College of Media and as a WVU Professor, actively managing the Media Innovation Center and producing “WVU News.” Prior experience includes serving as a WV Women's Commissioner for the West Virginia Women’s Commission from 2007 to 2011, and winning awards as a documentary filmmaker for "The Monongah Heroine" from 2004 to 2007. Further background includes political roles as Campaign Manager and Press Secretary for Joe Manchin's campaign for Secretary of State between 1999 and 2001, along with freelance writing and reporting roles at Dahlia Grown and WDTV-Channel 5, respectively. Gina holds a Master's Degree in Journalism with a minor in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture, complemented by licenses for Adult Basic Education and substitute teaching.
