Brooke Richards is a conservation professional with extensive experience in biodiversity and fauna management, currently serving as an Acting Conservation Zoologist and Acting Biodiversity Conservation Officer at the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions since April 2018. In previous roles as a Senior Technical Officer and Technical Officer, Brooke managed Threatened and Priority Flora and Fauna databases and supported research projects aimed at assessing the impact of Eradicat cat baits on northern quoll populations. Prior to this, Brooke worked at the Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development in the Plant Biosecurity Program, focusing on strategies to mitigate the spread of fruit fly species. Brooke holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Conservation Biology and Zoology from The University of Western Australia, completed in 2016.
