Harris Chen

Harris Chen is a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer at Western Digital, where responsibilities include advancing mechanical design projects. Previously, Harris served as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Western Digital and as a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern, contributing to the design of tool fixtures for HDD drives, CAM profiles, and prototypes. Experience also includes a role as a Teaching Assistant at USC Viterbi School of Engineering, where support was provided to students in Siemens NX, and an Industrial Design Intern position at TPV, where innovative product designs were developed. Earlier roles involved research and development in advanced manufacturing, project engineering, and mechanical engineering internships across diverse industries. Harris holds a Master’s degree in Product Development Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California Viterbi School of Engineering.
